Building Leaders and Strong Teens


BLAST is leadership program offered to all 5th grade students.  The program is one day long and run by High School leaders.  All High School leaders must submit an application in January in order to be considered for selection.  Requirements include: GPA of 3.0 or above; Involved in at least 1 extracurricular at school (club, sport, band etc.); No discipline referrals; Demonstrate leadership qualities at school and in the community.  Once selected, the high school students will attend 6 training sessions.

BLAST focuses on promoting positive leadership skills by learning about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and bullying behavior.
