Remote Learning Update
Now that we have been establishing a remote learning routine, it is time to make improvements and long-term planning. In each building we have had students take advantage of our internet café areas, and students and teachers who have arranged special instruction. I have been amazed at the incredible “above-and-beyonds” that have been demonstrated by teachers, staff and parents in the name of providing the best for our youth under difficult circumstances. It takes an entire community!
We are going to bring every student back into our buildings as soon as it is possible. The transition team is committed to making this happen at the very earliest with all safety precautions in place. We have daily problem solving administrative meetings and scenario trouble-shooting at the administrative level. We are also meeting with the department leaders on a weekly basis to develop a workable plan for transporting, feeding and teaching our student in-person in a manner that is safe for everyone. We want to be ready as soon as it is possible.
My hearts go out to all those who have been personally impacted by COVID-19 and I realize the sacrifices that have been made by everyone to make the very best of this challenging situation
