School Closing Information for Teachers and Staff
Teachers and Staff
All staff will be asked to report to work on Monday, but there will be no student attendance. Students may come get their items from their lockers between 8am – 11am.
During this time, we will have an expectation to re-visit your classroom webpage and post information that will provide your students with the opportunity to stay curriculum-current. This can be as simple as a work packet or as elaborate as posting video lessons. We can look at how to use Google Classroom and Zoom and how to put instructions on your tab. No work that is completed or corrected during this period can be part of the calculations towards the students’ grades. The motivation to continue teaching and learning is driven by creativity and integrity.
All staff, will be paid as though they have reported to work. This includes custodians, cooks, bus drivers, aides and office personnel.
On Monday at 8am, all teachers are to report to their buildings. All kitchen staff must report to the unit office. All custodians are to use the day to clean the buildings in preparations for the 2 week closure. No bus drivers are required to report to work during this closure.
After Monday, there will be no access to your classrooms, so please take any materials needed during this time period.
