Title I Reading Level Benchmarks

Have you ever been confused when given your child's reading level?  At Auburn Schools we use the DRA to assess student's reading. This assessment includes Oral Reading Fluency (Accuracy and Rate--Words Read Correctly Per Minute) and Comprehension.  These scores give us a Reading Level.  We use the Reading Level to find books during Guided Reading that are just right for your child to be instructed.  Here is a chart that shows DRA Levels and Guided Reading Levels, and how they match up for your child.
