Information for Graduations
at Sangamon Auditorium
Thank you for joining us at Sangamon Auditorium for your upcoming graduation. Please review this short page to help us make a safe environment for you, your fellow audience members, and the graduates. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Briana Bolton at 217.206.8289.
- Accessible Seating – Accessible seating is available both on the main floor and the mezzanine (level 4) of the Auditorium. To allow us to better serve you, please make arrangements for accessible seating in advance using the following link: http://www.sangamonauditorium.org/plan-your-visit/accessibility/ or call the Ticket Office at 217.206.6160. Due to the nature of general admission events and the limited availability of special seating, we are only able to seat one (1) companion with the special needs patron in the accessible area. This allows us to maintain the space needed to accommodate all accessible requests.
- Restrooms –The restrooms located on level 3 inside the Auditorium will be available during the graduation.
- Photography – Photography is permitted; however, please do not bring or use tripods as they could block emergency exit paths. Monopods are permitted.
- Coat Check – To avoid disrupting other guests and impede traffic flow into the Auditorium, please leave strollers at the Coat Check in the lobby during the performance. Also, please check flowers and balloons at the Coat Check.
- Food – The Food Emporium will be closed, but vending machines are available on Level 1. Please be sure to bring small bills and various coins for the vending machines. Please do not bring any food or drink into the Auditorium except for bottled water. There is unsupervised space in the Food Emporium on level 1for bag lunches, etc. Please leave the spaced as you found it. Thanks.
- Smoking – Some of our patrons have difficulty with smoke; please help us by keeping enough distance from the doors so that smoke will not enter the Auditorium. We have provided a comfortable location for your smoking pleasure - The designated smoking location is outside of the house left lobby doors across from the Coat Check.
- Emergencies – In the event of an emergency, please notify an usher or Auditorium staff member as soon as possible.
