Students will be back in school before you know it! Wednesday, August 20th will begin the 2014-15 school year with students attending until 2:00 p.m. on that day.

 

Registration dates and times have been set by all attendance centers in the district.  All attendance centers in Auburn and Divernon will register on August 7th and 8thRegistration dates and times for all school buildings will be as follows: August 7th  from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and on August 8th  from 8:00 am.-3:00 p.m.  

 

We encourage all parents who have Skyward Parent Access to register their students online from home.  Parents who take advantage of online registration will have the opportunity to update student and parent information, to pay registration and lunch fees online, to see their child’s teacher assignment, and to sign off on numerous forms, now available online for the first time. For parents who are not able to access Skyward from home, computers will be available for use in the elementary, middle school and junior high for registration purposes.

 

For parents who wish to register in person, all students entering Kindergarten, first and second grade who live in Auburn or Divernon will register at Auburn Elementary.  All students entering grades three, four and five should register at the Auburn Middle SchoolStudents entering grades six, seven and eight will register at the Auburn Junior High School at Divernon located in Divernon. 

 

Registration packets containing student schedules were mailed to high school students in June.  Parents of high school students are encouraged to register online.  For parents who do not have computer access, registration for high school students will be held on these same dates in the high school cafeteria.

 

All students entering kindergarten, sixth grade and ninth grade, as well as all students new to Auburn schools must bring to registration a completed physical form, or evidence (doctor appointment card) that a physical exam is scheduled with a doctor prior to October 15.  All students in kindergarten, second, and sixth grades must have a dental exam or an appointment card showing that a dental exam is scheduled by May 2015.

 

In compliance with state law, all students entering Elementary school for the first time must present a copy of their certified birth certificate (not the hospital record of birth.)  All high school students new to the District must bring a copy of their academic records from their previous attendance center.  A social security number and copy of a birth certificate will also be necessary to register.  All families new to the District should bring with them some proof of district residency, such as a utility bill or other identification.

 

Fees for the 2014-15 school year have been set by the Board of Education and are published in this newspaper.
