Biographical Information

I knew I wanted to be a social studies teacher after taking a class at Lincoln Land.  I had a world history teacher that got me excited about history.  While taking that class, I discovered that I wanted to get students excited about History.   When I began my teaching career, I taught U.S. History and Government.  A few years ago, I began teaching Psychology and Sociology classes.  Last year was the first year I started teaching Practical Law.  I am so glad I have been given the opportunity to teach these classes.  I enjoy learning about people and love sharing that knowledge with students.  Through my teaching, I am able to share knowledge with my students and, at the same time, learn new things from them.  My goal is to have students actively engaged in my classroom and have fun while learning.  I put forth my best effort to try to accomplish this goal.  I cannot imagine doing any other job.  I love that everyday with my students is a new experience.  Most of all, it is wonderful to be able to say that I love my job and enjoy coming to work everyday.

I also enjoy spending time with my family, running, coaching, playing golf and reading.
